Nassau: Swimming Pigs Private Boat Tour - Up to 7 Persons

4.8 (17 verified reviews)

About This Experience

This is the entry point to a private pig trip from Nassau. Three hours, your own boat and crew, an hour at the pig beach and an hour at Green Cay for snorkelling and turtles, leaving from Elizabeth on Bay in the middle of downtown.

The arithmetic is the reason to consider it. At $700 for the group, a party of six pays about $117 each — roughly what the shared catamarans charge per person — and gets a boat with nobody else on it. For two people it is an expensive morning; for a family or two couples travelling together it is competitive.

Two things are not in the price. Food is excluded on a three-hour trip. And the swimming pig interaction is an add-on selected at checkout, with the operator recommending you pay in person, so the headline fare covers the boat rather than the hands-on part.

One discrepancy worth resolving before you book: the listing is titled for up to seven people, while GetYourGuide's own price basis on the $700 tier reads per group up to six. Both appear on the live page. Confirm which applies to the option you select.

Highlights

  • Three hours across Pig Beach and Green Cay with an hour at each
  • Priced per group, so the cost per head falls as the party grows
  • Snorkel gear, life vests and drinks on board are all included
  • Turtle sightings at Green Cay on the same trip as the pigs
  • Leaves from Elizabeth on Bay in downtown Nassau, walkable from the cruise berths

Good to Know & Caveats

  • The pig interaction is an add-on selected at checkout, not part of the charter price. Budget for it separately.
  • The listing title advertises up to 7 people, while GetYourGuide's own price basis for the $700 tier reads 'per group up to 6'. Confirm the headcount your option covers before you book — this was checked on the live listing on 2026-09-20 and both figures were present.
  • At six people the $700 fare works out around $117 each, which is close to the shared catamarans — the private boat stops being a premium once the group is full.
  • Food is not included on a three-hour trip that leaves mid-morning or mid-afternoon.
  • Smoking is not permitted on board.

Not Suitable For

  • Pregnant travellers
  • Wheelchair users

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.8/5 by 17 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

Captain Chris gave us a perfect tour, with an extra detour to the Atlantis site on Paradise Island, lots of information along the itinerary, and plenty of bait for the fish during the snorkeling stop! The pig interaction was fun—two of us fed the pigs while two took photos, which kept the costs down. Rose Island is a Caribbean dream come true: white powder sugar sand and crystal clear turquoise water—amazing! Captain Chris gave us plenty of time everywhere, and the three-hour trip was perfectly timed! We highly recommend the trip and Captain Chris! An important plus for pale people like us: Chris' boat has a roll-out sunshade so that the four of us could sit in the shade. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people does $700 cover?

GetYourGuide's price basis for the lowest tier reads 'per group up to 6', while the operator's own title advertises up to 7 persons. Both were present on the live listing when this page was checked on 2026-09-20. Confirm the headcount on the option you select at checkout.

Is the pig interaction included?

No. It is an add-on chosen at checkout, and the operator recommends paying in person. The charter price covers the boat, the crew, the snorkel gear, the life vests and drinks on board.

Is a private charter worth it over a shared tour?

It depends entirely on group size. At six people it works out near $117 each, which is close to the shared catamarans, and you get a boat to yourselves. For a couple it is far more expensive than a $67 water taxi or a $123 shared trip.

Which pigs does it visit?

A Nassau-area colony, reached in about fifteen minutes from downtown, with an hour on the beach. It does not go to Big Major Cay in the Exumas, which is a full-day trip from $378.

Is food included?

No. Food is excluded. Drinks on board are provided, and the trip runs three hours, so eat before you board or bring something with you.
