Private Pig Beach Charters

Six of the thirty-four swimming-pig tours leaving Nassau are not priced per person but per group. That changes the maths completely, and for a party of four or more it often makes a private boat the cheaper option as well as the nicer one.

The arithmetic

The JNC three-hour charter is the entry point at $700 for the group, rated 4.8 across 17 reviews. Against the shared catamarans at $119 to $145 per person:

At six people the private boat is level with a shared seat and you have the boat to yourselves. Below four it is an expensive morning, and the honest advice is to take a shared tour and spend the difference on something else.

Larger charters exist further up the catalogue — caps run to eight, twelve and sixteen people — and the same logic applies: divide the group fare by the number of people actually going before comparing anything.

What the entry-level charter includes

Three hours from Elizabeth on Bay in downtown Nassau, walkable from the cruise berths. An hour at the pig beach, fifteen minutes of cruising, an hour at Green Cay for snorkelling and turtles, then a sightseeing run back along the Nassau shoreline.

Snorkel gear, life vests and drinks on board are included. An experienced crew comes with the boat.

Two things are not included, and both matter. Food is excluded on a three-hour trip. And the swimming-pig interaction is an add-on selected at checkout, with the operator recommending you pay in person — so the $700 covers the boat rather than the hands-on part. Full breakdown.

A discrepancy worth resolving at checkout

The JNC listing is titled for up to 7 persons. GetYourGuide’s own price basis on the $700 tier reads per group up to 6. Both appear on the live page; this was checked directly on 2026-09-20.

It is probably a higher tier covering the seventh person, but it is not worth guessing when the difference is a whole passenger. Confirm the headcount on the specific option you select before you pay, particularly if your party is exactly seven.

When a private boat is genuinely better

Families with small children. You control the pace, you can leave when a toddler has had enough, and there is no shared timetable pulling you back to the boat.

Anyone nervous in the water. A crew with six guests can give you attention a crew with forty cannot, and the pigs are calmer around a smaller group.

Photographs. Shared tours put twenty people in the shallows at once. On a private charter the beach is effectively yours for the hour.

Mixed groups. Some of you snorkel, some sit on the boat, nobody is waiting on a schedule built for strangers.

When it is not
